Tell us who you need
Answer what you can, skip what you have not decided yet, and our team will come back with developer options that fit your stack, your timeline, and your budget.
We have received your requirements. Our team will review your project, budget, and technical needs and come back with suitable developer options.
We review your requirements.
We shortlist suitable developers.
We share the best-fit options with you.
You review and choose who you want to work with.
Budget-first matching
Not every project needs a $100/hour developer.
And not every project should be built by a $5/hour developer.
The right talent depends on your requirements, complexity, timeline, and budget — not on a price band somebody else decided for you.
Tell us what you are comfortable spending and we will help you find the strongest fit available within that range.
Small, clearly specified tasks: content and template updates, simple pages, and work you can review quickly.
Template and CMS work, maintenance, bug queues, and straightforward implementation from a clear spec.
Independent feature work and ongoing product development with less hand-holding required.
Complex products, integration work, and developers who can own a build rather than follow a ticket.
Architecture decisions, performance work, and deep expertise in one part of the stack.
Highly specialised or mission-critical work where deep domain depth is the reason you are hiring.
These are illustrative budget tiers, not a price list or a guarantee of availability. Actual rates vary by skill, experience, location, availability, and project complexity.

Project experience
That is the point of Cutbound. You do not need to spend hours searching through hundreds of profiles. Tell us what you are building, what skills you need, and what you want to spend. We will search our talent network and find suitable options for your requirement.

What you can hire
Pick a technology to filter the example profiles above, or put it in your brief and we will search the wider network for it.
Technologies shown as plain tags are ones we hire for but do not currently have an example profile for on this page. Ask for them in your brief and we will search for them the same way.
The difference
We are not a marketplace you have to search. We are the team that does the searching for you, inside the constraints you actually have.
Tell us what you can spend. We will work within your range instead of pushing you toward a price band that was decided before you arrived.
We focus on relevant skills, experience, and project fit rather than simply sending you a pile of resumes to sort through yourself.
Hire for a single project, a part-time engagement, or ongoing development. The commitment matches the work, not a contract template.
Access developers across different locations and time zones, so overlap with your working hours is something you choose rather than accept.
Cutbound helps you define the requirement and find the right fit, instead of leaving you to search through hundreds of profiles on your own.
If your budget and your requirement do not line up, we will tell you what would need to change rather than quietly sending the wrong people.
How it works
No platform to learn, no credits to buy, no inbox full of unqualified proposals.
Share your technology, project, experience level, budget, and timeline. Eight questions, roughly two minutes.
Our team reviews your requirement and searches for suitable talent across our network.
We share relevant developer profiles based on your requirements, with the context you need to compare them.
Choose your developer and get started. You decide who you work with, not an algorithm.
Turnaround depends on how specialised the requirement is and what is available at the time. We will tell you where things stand rather than promise a number we cannot hold.
Who this is for
Need developers without building an entire engineering team, or the payroll that comes with it.
Need reliable development without committing to a large full-time hire.
Need additional engineering capacity quickly, without a three-month recruitment cycle.
Need developers to support client projects and absorb overflow without expanding headcount.
Need someone who can turn an idea into a working product, starting from whatever exists today.
A short guide
The practical version. What to decide before you hire, and what actually moves the rate.
Start My Brief →Most hiring goes wrong at the first step: the requirement is written as a job title instead of an outcome. "We need a React developer" is a guess. "We need someone to rebuild our checkout flow in React, working against an existing Node API, starting in three weeks" is a requirement — and it produces a completely different shortlist.
You do not need a formal job description to hire through Cutbound. Describe what exists today, what you want to be true in three months, and what has to integrate with it. Our team turns that into the technical requirement.
If you already have a codebase, the stack is largely decided for you, and hiring outside it usually costs more than it saves. If you are starting fresh, the honest answer is that several stacks would work and the deciding factors are ordinary ones: what your existing team knows, how easily you can hire for it later, and what your integrations expect.
If you are unsure, say so in your brief. Recommending a stack is part of the intake, not an upsell.
Rate tracks judgement more than typing speed. A junior developer can implement a well-specified screen. A senior developer decides how that screen should be built so the next ten are cheaper. You are paying for the decisions, and the decisions matter more when the work is ambiguous.
Location, demand for the specific skill, and how much of the developer's week you are booking all move the number too. That is why the same title can range from $5/hr to well past $100/hr without either end being wrong.
Hire junior or mid-level when the work is well defined, someone on your side can review it, and the cost of a wrong architectural call is low — content sites, CMS builds, clearly specified features, maintenance, and bug queues.
Hire senior or expert when the requirement is still forming, when the system has to scale, when you are integrating with something fragile, or when there is nobody internally to catch a bad decision early. A cheaper developer on the wrong problem is the most expensive option available.
Project-based engagements suit work with a defined end: an MVP, a migration, a redesign, a specific integration. You get a clear scope and a clear finish line, and you are not carrying capacity you no longer need.
Ongoing engagements suit products that keep moving. Continuity is worth real money once a developer knows your codebase, and longer commitments often unlock people who will not take short jobs. If you genuinely do not know yet, start project-based and extend.
Your budget does not decide whether you get help. It decides which part of the network we search and how we shape the engagement. A tighter budget often means a smaller first scope, a mid-level developer with clearer specs, or fewer hours a week for longer — all of which can work.
What we will not do is take a requirement that clearly needs senior ownership, staff it at a junior rate, and let you discover the mismatch three months in. If the numbers do not line up, we will say so and show you what would.
Two developers with identical stacks can be very different hires. One has shipped a multi-tenant SaaS billing system; the other has built twenty marketing sites. Both are React developers. Only one of them has already made the mistakes your project is about to make.
That is what we look for when we shortlist: not just the language, but whether the developer has met your problem before.
Remote engineering succeeds or fails on written communication and predictable overlap. A developer who flags a blocker on day one is worth more than a faster one who goes quiet for a week. Decide up front how many overlapping hours you actually need — full overlap costs more, and plenty of teams do fine with three or four hours a day.
Tell us your working hours and how much overlap you want in step six of the brief. It is one of the most useful filters we have.
Not every "we need to build something" turns out to be an engineering hire. If what you actually need is pipeline rather than product, start with our lead generation services, or hire a lead generation expert instead.
